MURAL PROJECT: JUNGLE SAFARI

The second mural project that I was commissioned to paint (in the same house as the Fantasyland mural) was an exotic Jungle Safari theme. The older sister really loved animals and, as she told me, 'it has been her dream for a long time,' to have a mural painted for her room. I love when kids get excited about art, especially when they share their inspiration and enthusiasm with me. My pen was moving pretty fast to take down as many of her ideas that I could, while we talked. I immediately got to weaving her ideas into some sketches that eventually became the mural proposal.
