This contemporary seascape features muted turquoise sea tones played against a dramatic cloudscape and the bursting orange yellow of the setting sun.  After a passing storm, I was immediately taken by the reflections of the setting sun on the ocean & clouds.  Most of my paintings are inspired by the outdoors and painted in the studio, or they are painted on-site ('en plein air', as the french say).
