As part of my painting series 'Sunset Sessions, 'Big Sky' was inspired by an evening at the beach just down the street from my house.  There are many sunsets that are unforgettable; the kind of beauty that, to me, needs to be expressed as a work of art.  This painting is very large, at 4 ft. x 4 ft., the best way for me to express the grandeur of my experience.
