This painting started out as a small plein air painting, done on location at Wood's Cove in Laguna Beach.  It was a warm January day, and the weather was perfect for painting barefoot in the sand.  The warm glow of the sun flickered across the tops of the waves as they crashed against the rocks.  I couldn't wait to get back to the studio and paint it larger!
