'La Jolla Nook' was painted just south of La Jolla Cove.  I was invited to paint with other artists 'en plein air' (in the outdoors) in conjunction with the San Diego Surf Film Festival.  As I hiked around the cliffs looking for a spot to paint, I noticed this little 'nook' in the cliff side, where the water was splashing in and glimmering against the warm, orange rock outcroppings.
