'Low Tide Morning' was painted en plein air, at Mariposa Beach, during the 2014 Paint San Clemente Competition, where artists from all over come to San Clemente for a week to paint outdoors.  I always love this particular beach as it's so close to my house and during low tide, these beautiful rocks, and also tide pools surface.  I was able to capture this scene in about two hours before the tides rose and submerged everything.
