"MORNING ADVENTURE" was painted 'en plein air' (outside) on the sand at Trestles State Beach in San Clemente, California.   I often wake up at dawn, excited to surf and paint.  It was a warm early morning, and I was eager to start my morning off with a surf, followed by nestling into the sand and painting this charming beach scene of two surfers seeking shade under a green umbrella.
