'North Beach Stroll' was painted 'en plein air' (outside, on location) at the beach near my house.  One of my evening rituals is to ride my bike to the beach during sunset, with my paints and brushes in tow.  I love finding a place on the beach to set up my art supplies, dig my toes into the sand, and capture my inspirations on canvas.  On this particular evening, the low tide exposed the wet sand, and tide pools.  And the people strolling along the shore silhouetted against the reflection of the warm orange sunset skies.
