This greeting card is from an oil painting, 'Northside Sketch', that was painted en plein air, (outside), from the north side of the San Clemente pier.  I walk past this spot so often that I decided on this particular morning to plop down in the sand and try to capture the character of this old wooden peir with all its interesting angles.
