This miniature painting was inspired by a house, just down the street from my parent's house, in New Mexico.  As my holiday vacation was extended by nearly a week due to snow and massive flight cancellations, I nestled in and decided to paint some snow scenes.  The warm adobe and turquoise doors popped brilliantly against the stark snowy fields on this day.  A fun painting to start off the New Year!
