Now that I'm finally back from New Mexico (After 4 cancelled flights!), I am finally sitting down to post this. With the flurry of the Holidays past us, I find myself reflecting on the past year and looking forward to setting intentions and changing things that haven't worked for me in the past. As we set sail into 2015, there's something to be said for wiping our slate clean (or in my case, my palette), and starting fresh.

I recently read a book called, "The War of Art" (by Steven Pressfield) that made me laugh and, well, almost cry at how much resistence we (I ) create in our lives that prevents us from growing, moving forward, and living some of our loftiest dreams. The clear message here made me shudder at how often I get in my own way and thwart my own positive progression. (ie., procrastination, negative mental chatter, inconsistent actions, inaction, distraction, etc etc.) You know the old phrase, "Get out of your own way."

So~ getting out of my own way! The reason I've chosen the challenging path of being an artist in the world, is to have an enriching, meaningful life, creating and sharing the beauty that I see.

So, as a note to myself, and to all of us, WHY NOT let go of the fear that delays doing the things that are most meaningful?

With all that said, you'll be seeing more of me in 2015. I look foward to sharing more of my art and my journey as it unfolds!
