UPDATES

La Jolla Coast Walk Series

The past two weeks have seen a flurry of plein air painting activity. I'm pretty exhausted at the moment. I've been commuting between Laguna Beach and La Jolla, producing new paintings for two separate events. It's nice to be able to sit down with a cup of tea and catch up on writing. I've really enjoyed challenging myself to create new art adventures and plein air excursions which, in turn, inspires more content to keep my blog fresh and updated.

The "La Jolla Coast Walk Series" was painted on a stretch of the Coast Walk in La Jolla- a breathtaking series of cliffs and ocean that wraps around as far as the eye can see.

I must have painted in this location about 4 or 5 days, simply because it was so beautiful I kept going back for more. In total, I produced 4 paintings, one of which was rather large so it took two sessions to complete. You can view and purchase the paintings in my online gallery (by clicking on each image) or in person at the Misfit Gallery.

These paintings are part of an ongoing La Jolla Plein Air Painting series put on by the Misfit Gallery in La Jolla. Not only does this gallery represent an ecclectic mix of artists, they are also the masterminds behind Misfit Pictures which produces the San Diego Surf Film Festival, featuring surf-inspired films from all over the globe.

This La Jolla Coast Walk Series will be hanging at Misfit Gallery with an opening celebration on Thursday, October 20th, which is also the opening night of the Action Film Festival. Grab a ticket and come celebrate art and great films!

Until next time,
